PORT KLANG, May 19 — The Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry (NRES) will intensify port controls, particularly at Port Klang, to block the entry of illegal waste.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 —The government is not shutting down Lynas Malaysia Sdn Bhd's (Lynas) operations, but the company will not be allowed to carry out 'cracking and leaching' (C&L) activities in the country after December 31, said Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (Mosti) Chang Lih Kang.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 — Australia's Lynas Rare Earths Ltd said on Monday (May 8) its operating license in Malaysia to import and process rare earths is now valid until January 1 next year, but added it will continue to seek legal review of conditions that threaten its permit.

KUANTAN, Feb 23 — Lynas Malaysia Sdn Bhd has appealed to the government seeking it to reconsider its ban on producing additional radioactive waste after July 2023, its Human Resource, Admin and Organisational Development General Manager Jumaat Mansor said.

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 15 — Lynas Malaysia Sdn Bhd’s operating licence could be revoked, if it fails to comply with conditions prohibiting the production of radioactive waste in the country, said Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang.
